I have been painting murals for 20 years now. While it's not the only art form I create, it is one of my absolute favorites. There are few things I love more than leaving my big, colorful mark on a city! This mural, in particular, holds a special place in my heart.

Art Alley is just around the corner from my shop, Parlor on 3rd, so I have the pleasure of walking past it daily. The color palette I chose is inspired by a dreamy late summer Oregon wine country sunset. The old 1941 Chevy, which serves as a muse for this piece, belongs to my friend Juan Salines, who has been cruising old cars in Mac since the 1970s. He is particularly special to me because he married my husband and me a few years ago.

As for the California poppies, well, I simply adore the color orange. I was incredibly honored to participate in this amazing project, and I can't wait to watch it continue to grow.
